daily, so feel free to have a sniff around & let us know what you think &
how or what we can do to improve your browsing pleasure, & remember to tell
ten of your friends to tell ten of their friends about us. Click on the

 Meet
TSOS:
Our merry band of brothers got together one Saturday afternoon at Rugby
Park, Kilmarnock in 1997 and we've not missed many games since, most of us
have seen Scotland on numerous occasions but never on such a regular basis
all in all there is a core element who go to most games of around six or
seven & if The Sons Of The Sons Of Scotland go then there is quite a wee
gang of us hanging around Hampden, so have a look at the photies, who knows
maybe you'll recognise someone.....Alba Gu Bráth

Stirling
Castle Legends: New
It was a nice sunny day in this old land that I call home
and it was decided that a wee drive would be the order of the day, but where
to go? That was the problem, Gourock Highland Games was on or we could go
through to Stirling Castle where Historic Scotland were putting on a
Scottish legends weekend, Archie Gemmell was no where to be seen by the
way!!!...Alba

International Fair Fuengirola: New
The fair is officially opened with a parade from the Town
Hall to the fairground. Each country has a group in traditional costume,
plays traditional music and march behind a member bearing the flag of their
country. This caused a wee problem, as the guy in charge wanted the flag of
the union, but our guys insisted that if he wanted a Scottish theme, then
only the Saltire would be flown. Guess who won!
Mini
Kilts May, April:
May: New
I get sent an awful lot of weird & wonderful things
through the site & recently I got a request for some mini kilted babes!!! So
I had a wee look about & came up with these, special thanks to the lovely
Bonnybrig' lassies, always up for a laugh. Enjoy the photos & if you have
any more, send them in. If you would like any of these photo's removed
please get in touch at the usual address....Alba

Men
In Kilts April:
I thought it was only fair that if the lads were going to
get to see lassies in their mini kilts then the lassies should get to see
the lads in theirs, kilts that is, not mini kilts!! Unless there are some
strange men out there who like to wear mini kilts!! Enjoy the photos & if you have
any more, send them in. If you would like any of these photo's removed
please get in touch at the usual address....Alba

Scottish
& Celtic Tatz: Updated
In here you will find
five galleries of Scottish &
Celtic Tatz, the newer ones can be found by clicking the image on the left.
Most of these have been sent to us & we'd like to thank everyone for their
help in compiling this rather wonderful collection. The one on the left was
sent in by Scottish Patriot who's 22 & lives in Arbroath. Both the Saltire
and Rampant Lion were done by Judi the Ink Minx in Montrose. SP thanks for
the tatz, they're a couple of crackers. Why not follow his
example & send yours in. We'd love to see them so please get in touch & let us know some
details about yourself & or the artist so that we can give due credit to the
people involved, enjoy!!!....Alba

Fan
Mail:
Updated
From time to time we get some fan
mail which although we're very grateful for we try not to encourage it,
sometimes it leads to petty jealousies because I get more
mail than all the others put together, plus it sometimes
leads to stalking,
but I've grown out of that now & I promised the police that I
wouldn't do it again, however,
here are some great contributions from some fans who seem to be quite
dedicated followers of the site, not too sure about the gay guys though....Alba Gu Brath
Fixtures
& Match Reports:
Updated
Plenty of match reports & pictures of all
Scotland's games from 1998 from whence The Sons Of Scotland
started. The reports & pictures have been collected from all over the
net but a special mention to
Loony Alba who were an invaluable source of information for this
section, cheers guys, anyway have a wee look & tell us what you remember
about these games....Alba

 Scottish
Humour:
Everybody needs cheering up now & again especially if you follow Scotland,
in here you'll find some old jokes & some new ones that will hopefully put a
smile on even the most miserable Scottish face, for example if you were at
any of our games under Berti, you're probably
suffering from depression & don't even know it, in here you'll
find the cure. There are two solutions to your problem, go & see
Scotland again under Walter Smith or come in here, this one's
cheaper, so have a wee look & hopefully leave wae a wee smile on
yer fizzer....Alba Gu Bráth

the deepest darkest corner of this little web-site.

A
Bonnie Lass : New
If you visit us regularly you will know that
we promote all things Scottish, including good looking lassies!!
Well here's a bonnie lass indeed, Ann Marie has just entered
this years Miss Scotland contest & she's asked us if we can do
our wee bit to help her win, I'm sure she wont need our help but
we were only to happy to help if we could. If you'd like to see
a Miss Scotland who actually knows about her country & spends
her spare time promoting & actually trying to make a difference
to our fine country then look no further than Ann Marie. I've
met her at countless historical events, commemorations &
Scotland games. So let's have this years winner be a truly
deserving one, gorgeous, intelligent & as an added bonus, a true
Scottish patriot!!....

Big
Geordies Column:
I've been having major problems with the site
& I apologise unreservedly for the lack of updates. I'm afraid
it's out of my hands and frustration doesn't quite cover it.I'm
going to be rebuilding the site over the next few months so
there may not be any updates for a while but I'll try my best to
limit any inconvenience.
Jock
Ferguson:
Ladies and Gentlemen,
let me introduce you to Jock Ferguson, an actor who devotes his
life promoting all things Scottish. He got in touch with me
through the site complimenting us on a job well done and
pointing me towards certain historical factors I should explore,
namely The Picts and William Wallace in more detail. After
several communications with him I decided to ask if I could do a
wee feature on him which he happily agreed to do. As you read
this article you will hopefully get an idea of what Jock is
trying to instil in all of us. I was inspired by his passion and
devotion to his country's history and culture, I think you will
be to click here to see

Ron
Henderson:
My Lords Ladies & Gentlemen I'd
like you introduce you to "Ron
Henderson", a guy who I got in touch with through "Big
Jock Ferguson" my life has been enriched by his fervent
comments and his obvious passion for his country's history and
tradition. Once you've met Ron you cannot fail to get caught up
in his obvious enthusiasm for his beloved Alba, best of all he
is keeping one of our truly Pictish arts alive, Stone Carving.
Ron reproduces, perhaps on a smaller scale, wonderful authentic
reproductions of stone carvings found all over Scotland from the
Islands to the central belt. This little piece is in honour of a
man who keeps our Pictish traditions ALIVE!!!
Webstones:
Our good friend Ron Henderson has set up home
here beside us at the P.T.A. Towers, it's a wee bit cramped but
I'm sure we'll get by, he'll be with us
until normal service is
resumed on his own site, so a big welcome to Ron & hopefully
he's not a bed wetter!!! To see Ron's film "Foundations Of
Stone" Click here

Pictorum: Story Of The Picts
Welcome to our attempt here
at The Sons Of Scotland to introduce you, the good old folk of
Scotland & beyond to our forefathers The Picts, the original
inhabitants of Scotland and the same people from whom a great many of us are
descended. These were the people who took on the Romans and caused them to
build two walls to keep these fierce warriors out. We owe a lot to the Picts. They were the ones who gave us the
Saltire Flag (probably the oldest flag in Europe) and who controlled this bit of land
and defended its ancient freedom for over 800 years. If you want to learn
where Scotland REALLY begins click here.....Alba

Scottish
History:
Updated
I knew very little
about the rich & varied history of our country until a few years ago when I
started reading about William Wallace & it all started from there, I still
don't know as much as I would like to know , but I know more now than I used
to know then, so here is my attempt to give you a little bit of knowledge on
this wonderful country we call home. I have deliberately tried to keep each
episode short & sweet, something to tingle your historical taste buds rather
than fill you up with a very large chewy slice of historical pie.
Andrew
de Moray:
In the month of
March 1297, young Andrew de Moray, only recently married,
escaped from imprisonment by Edward I in England. His father,
Sir Andrew de Moray, and his uncle were still held in the Tower
of London, along with many other Scottish knights who had
earlier shown a tendency to revolt, and had been captured and
taken to England as assurance against further uprisings. He
headed back to the family lands in Moray, and raised the
standard of revolt....Alba

The
Disappearance Of The IX Legion:
When miners were
levelling the ground to build Bridgeness Miners Welfare Club (
to be used for social events and dances ), about 1919, a Roman
graveyard was uncovered. When the graves were opened by
Officials of the Scottish National Museum, they were found to
contain the skeletons of Roman soldiers and numbers of coins and
other articles. The coffins being made out of 2 inch thick slabs
of stone were too heavy to transport and therefore still lie
beneath Bridgeness Miners Welfare Club to this day. I think the
Caledonians would have approved.....Alba

Dunaverty
Massacre 1647:
If you're ever
lucky enough to be down in the Mull of Kintyre see if you can
manage a visit to Dunaverty, site of the ancient fortified Dun
of the Cenel Gabran in the 6th century and probably inhabited
long before this by the indigenous tribe of the region the Epidi.
But Dunaverty has witnessed one of the more gruesome massacres
in our history and probably a worse atrocity committed on Clan
Donald than Glencoe, 45 years later...Alba

On
The Trail Of David R. Ross:
I've long been a fan of David R. Ross' writing
but had not read this book until a lovely lady recommended it to
me while I was down at Cliftonville as a must read. I followed
her advice & bought it. Based on his extensive research and
experience, you're taken on an historical and geographic tour
around Scotland that he obviously loves so much. In the
introduction of Desire Lines, he writes. "I’m just an ordinary
Scot who has a deep love for my country, its landscape, its
history, and for the future of its people." He manages to bring
every nook and cranny of Scotland to life in a manner that sets
both tourists and inhabitants on a path of discovery. I've
already started mine & will update you all on a regular basis of
my own personal voyage of discovery....Alba

Albannach
Print :
If you visit us regularly you will have seen
Albannach
feature quite heavily at a lot of the events that we're involved
with.
Albannach are not just another Scottish 'Pipes & Drums'
band, their style of music is exciting, energetic and enchanting
and they promise to leave you begging for more. That's why
celebrated Scottish artist
Duncan Brown has commissioned this wonderful print in honour
of the excellent work that the band do in promoting our heritage
& culture far & wide & who better to do it than
Duncan who promotes
our wonderful country through his artwork. I already have my
print & the quality is second to none.
Duncan Brown is one of
our most talented artists & it's fitting that he be the one that
did this portrait of one of Scotland's most talented bands....

"Rab"
The Targe Maker:
I love hearing of guys who like to
keep Scottish traditions alive & here's one tradition that's an art form
in itself. "Rab" The Targe Maker, is an incredibly talented guy who will
make just about any design you would like. I've seen some of Rab's work at
close hand & it's wonderful. Click

 Trips To
Teba:
If you're a regular on this site you
might know that my hero is The Good Sir James, or
"The Black Douglas" as he is
better known. He died at the hands of The Moors in Teba, Spain, while taking
Bruce's heart to the Crusades.
I've always wanted to visit Teba & was surprised when I got this email from
Tom who hails from Paisley but now lives in Spain & is trying to get this
venture off the ground. He is currently in the process of getting himself
set up for 2008. Meanwhile have a look at what his trip entails....Alba
